It goes by many names – we call it a Sidewalk Mystery.

A Sidewalk Mystery is mostly for adults and older teens, and combines the best of the escape room world, treasure hunts, historical City Walks and geocaching to create an experience that both challenges and entertains.

Unlike a traditional escape room, it’s not about escaping, but about stepping into a local narrative. All our games are based on – or inspired by – real events.

You have 24 hours to complete the game, but most people do it in 2-3 hours. There are no locked rooms, no time pressure and no shock effects – because reality can often be dramatic enough on its own.

Whether you’re interested in culture, gastronomy, shopping or scenic surroundings, Aalborg has something to offer.

Aalborg’s history includes both royalty and war. The city’s 16th-century castle became an important center of power, and during the Occupation, Aalborg played a central role as a German airfield and military hub. Traces of both periods still mark the city today.
