Dark Mysteries 2

In Dark Mysteries 2, you’ll encounter puzzles like:
– A woman picks up a package, opens it and then commits suicide.
or
– Everyone applauds when the famous actor dies during a theater performance just before the curtain goes down.

Now the question is: What really happened?

One participant is appointed Game Leader and is responsible for running the game. The others are Investigators, trying to solve the riddles of the Dark Mysteries and find out what really happened.

Investigators may ask questions to the Game Master, who can only answer “Yes” or “No”.

If the Game Master receives questions that cannot be answered “Yes” or “No”, the Game Master decides whether to provide assistance to the Investigators.

For example, it can be helpful to say if the question is irrelevant or to discreetly point out a detail that the investigators have overheard or misunderstood.

There doesn’t have to be criminal forces behind the dark mysteries. But that’s often the case, even though natural deaths and accidents do happen.

When the Investigators arrive at the correct answer, or if they give up, the GM moves on in the game by pressing “Solved” or “New puzzle”.

The game manager is always right – period!
The game master decides whether Investigators have come close enough to the real story and have solved the puzzle.

If the Investigators believe that the course of events could have been different, the Game Master is always right.

To end the game, press “Finish” and the number of puzzles solved will be calculated.

The role of Game Master can be rotated between participants.

The game contains more than 50 puzzles that are picked up in random order each time a new game round is started.

How to play Dark Mysteries
