Agnes Hansen has passed away peacefully, leaving you with a mysterious legacy. Although Agnes was an elderly lady born in 1922, she was healthy to the end. Shortly before her death, she devised a series of challenges that you must solve to get to the inheritance. Because what happened during the occupation and what consequences did it have for Agnes in the years that followed?

The many bunkers in Houvig stand as striking relics of the German occupation – raw concrete in the middle of nature, shaped by a time of fear and control. It is precisely here, among these windswept witnesses of the past, that the story of the late Anna Jacobsen begins. Her life and secrets are inextricably linked to this landscape, where traces of the war still lie just below the surface.

The area between Søndervig and Houvig is therefore more than just a holiday idyll. It’s a place where the contrasts are clear: life and silence, present and past – and where the dunes hold stories waiting to be discovered.

A Sidewalk Mystery is mostly for adults and older teens, and combines the best of the escape room world, treasure hunts, historical City Walks and geocaching to create an experience that both challenges and entertains.

Unlike a traditional escape room, it’s not about escaping, but about stepping into a local narrative. All our games are based on – or inspired by – real events.

You have 24 hours to complete the game, but most people do it in 2-3 hours. There are no locked rooms, no time pressure and no shock effects – because reality can often be dramatic enough on its own.

Today, Søndervig is buzzing with life with holiday home guests, cafés and wide sandy beaches where the sea attracts both bathers and surfers. But if you head towards Houvig, the atmosphere changes. The dunes become higher, the wind more insistent, and the remains of the Atlantic Wall emerge between the seaweed and sand.
